Medicinal PLANTS Garden

Medicinal plants play a significant role in human health care system. Our country has a rich diversity of phyto-therapeuticals. Approximately 90% of herbs are used in the manufacturing of herbal medicines and phyto formulations. The college has established a special Herbal Garden of 30+ medicinal plants with an aim to maintain a conservatory of the most common and important species of medicinal and aromatic plants which are being used in day-to-day primary health care system. All the plant species are authentically identified by expert taxonomists and botanists, labelled and in many cases, their therapeutic values in curing different diseases are also highlighted. Students and faculty members are working on different research topics where phyto constituents are utilized for scintillating discoveries.
